RAIN Proving that, “It’s Easy Being Green.”

RAIN’s new business location in American Fork is, “Greenish,” says Daniel Hatch, CEO. “We are practically a paperless environment; everything we do is done electronically. But, I have a personal interest in going green so our new building was designed to include some energy saving tactics, including translucent ceilings that provide more light and decrease the need for electricity. We have also purchased LED spotlights and full spectrum fluorescent tubes that use very little power. We have also purchased Wind Power Credits so much of our electricity will come from mother nature,” Hatch adds.

RAIN has also put in place a bonus structure for carpooling and riding bikes. “I am also about to purchase an electric car, “explains Hatch. “One would think that a $35,000 car would look cooler.”

Bryce Barrand, a Project Manager at RAIN, has rigged up some type of contraption that is supposed to make his car’s gas mileage increase significantly. He is still testing the system but for right now it looks like he has stolen Doc’s Flux Capacitor from Back To The Future. “It could be producing an extra mile or two but no way is it generating 1.21 jigawatts,” adds Berrand.
